- Recommendations / voter guide for election
- Homeless priorities and clean and clear ordinance first reading passes giving law enforcement another tool
- Spoke with senators and chief of staff to recommend amendments to SB-952
- March 5th Primary Election Picks – ballots are in the mail.
- District 1 Supervisor: Do your research. Hawkins and Plumber are current sitting city council members. Holland runs several businesses including being a local builder (good perspective on housing).
- District 4 Supervisor: Steve Griefer
- District 5 Supervisor: Arthur Schmidt
- Sonora City Council : Stephen Opie and Darren Duez based on what I have read and heard
- California Assembly District 8: George Radanovich. Strong focus on family and ACE’s which is adverse childhood experience, thought be the root of many social ills.
- US Representative District 5: Tom McClintock
- US Senator (Full Term): Katie Porter**
- US Senator (Partial Term): Steve Garvey***
- President of the United States: Donald Trump. Yep.
- Proposition 1: Behavioral Health Services Program and Bond Measure – NO!
- ** Katie Porter is very liberal, but she has the best chance to block Adam Schiff. Porter is the only person who can beat Adam Schift. Steve Garvey is the leading conservative but has almost no chance to place in the top two in this primary.
- *** The partial term US Senator position is only a month long. Might as well show Steve Garvey all the support we can muster.
- The March election will decide the Sonora City Council, District 4 Supervisor, and District 5 Supervisor races. The District 1 Supervisor might go to a run-off in November.

- Update on Tuolumne road chip seal

January 31, 2024
- When a board member says everyone before him was a failure, you have to post what you campaigned on. Look familiar? Work on these areas have been going on for years. Some, like forest management before I got here. Just keeping it real.

- Board of supervisors update for 1-23-24 board meeting:
- Community Choice Aggregate: shopping for cheaper options on electricity.
- Tobacco retail licensing: kids are vaping all over the place and public health is concerned. Today’s conversation was about tobacco but the bigger problem is vaping not tobacco but high amounts of THC from cannabis.
- Eliminated the need for an inclusionary ordinance for builders/developers = more housing

- Thank you for the packed room in Twain Harte for showing up to have a conversation about what economic development means to you.
- If you reside in Twain Harte please answer these questions and send to Robbie.
- Summary of what I heard tonight:
- “If you build a place where people want to live, you’ll build a place where people want to work. If you build a place where people want to work, you’ll build a place where business needs to be. If you build a place where business has to be, you’ll build a place where people have to visit. If you build a place people want to visit, you build a place where people want to live.” Maura Gast.
